2020 Master Plan Social Media Launch 10.16.2020

Over the next several weeks, the community will play an essential role in sharing how you use EDH parks and trail systems. The District is conducting a community-wide, interactive survey to learn more about what you and your family would like to see over the next five years. Your involvement will provide valuable feedback, and help plan the future of El Dorado Hills through the Districts’ 2021 Master Plan update.

Courts at Stephen Harris Temp Closure

We’ve recently had to close two of the courts and remove nets due to the condition of the surfacing. It’s lifting and we are preparing to have them resurfaced. To avoid risk of injury, those courts will be closed until the resurfacing is complete. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please know we are working to get these repairs completed in a timely manner. In the meantime, please visit our other courts located at Promontory Community Park (2700 Alexandra Way) and Lake Forest Park (1821 Francisco Drive).

Kalithea Park Update

Kalithea Park is closed for renovation work. All updates about this and other CSD property & projects are posted by the CSD. If you've been hearing others giving updates on the CSD's behalf, then make certain you come to the source to get the facts, www.edhcsd.org or on our social media platforms.

For Kalithea, the District will be completing some form of turf renovation once the soils analysis and recommendation for improvement is complete, an irrigation audit, drinking fountain replacement, landscaping updates, playground inspection along with any work needed upon inspection. No timeline for reopening has been established at this time, and we may adjust the project scope even further, so stay tuned for updates via social media and our monthly newsletters.

Kalithea Park September 18 – September 22, 2020
Kalithea Park September 10 – September 17, 2020
Kalithea Park September 2 – September 9, 2020

In addition to video footage, park visitors were also greeted by a friendly foot patrol security guard, new signage was added and random park visits from trained EDHCSD staff were also completed. EDHCSD continues to work with local agencies in monitoring park use, HOA representatives on fencing solutions and our Kalithea Park neighbors in helping to address what is and isn't appropriate use of the beloved park.

If you have questions or concerns, please bring those to the CSD’s attention by calling the Registration Office at 916-933-6624, and ask to speak with the Parks Department.
