Teen Taxi from Marina Village Middle School

Did you know that teen center staff go to MVMS every day after school and pick kids up in the Teen Taxi to bring them back to the CSD? All registered members of the Teen Center can be picked up every day after school once a waiver is signed, for no additional fee. Be sure to take advantage of this great program!

Walking Crew from Rolling Hills Middle School

Registered Teen Center members can meet at the flag pole each day to walk back to the Teen Center in a group with a staff member. The Walking Crew will leave 15 minutes after the bell rings each day after school excluding rainy days. Staff members will not be meeting the kids on days that are raining, but members are encouraged to all walk over together. No fee is associated with this program, but an additional waiver must be signed.

NEOS Interactive Fun

Check out our cool playground equipment next to the Teen Center. It's the perfect bridge between electronics and being outside enjoying the nature. NEOS combines the speed and fun of electronic games with the explosive movement of aerobic exercise to create the most exciting playground ever to hit your playspace. Playing NEOS delivers a workout comparable to jogging or playing soccer, raising heart rates by an average of 20%. NEOS comes in three widely fun options and gets everybody off the sofa and into the great outdoors. And in the fight against obesity, NEOS disguises heart-pounding exercise as pure, unadulterated fun. NEOS is available to all our Teen Center members and for birthday parties at the Teen Center and on weekends and school breaks for the public.

The C.E.N.T.E.R.'s Wish List

The Teen Center is in need of new items to engage teens in the after school drop-in program. The following items would greatly improve the program and enhance The Center: ping pong table, DVDs rated PG or PG13, Wii, XBOX 360 and Playstation games rated E or T (with staff approval), sports equipment (footballs, rubber balls, soccer balls) and sturdy patio furniture. If you have any of these items in good usable condition please contact Whitney Kahn at (916) 643-4367. Donation receipts are available.
