The skate park has plenty to offer both novice and advanced skate boarders and scooter riders including a half pipe, ramps and grinding rails.  Skate park attendants are present during supervised hours to enforce rules and make sure everyone is having an awesome time.  The CSD promotes safe riding and requires all participants under 18 to wear helmets.

NOTE: The skate park is closed on all national holidays, rainy days and Spare-the-Air days. Also subject to closures due to special events, park improvements  and violations of skate park rules.  Check the CSD Facebook page or Instagram for closure notices.

Skate Lessons

Private Lessons    ages 5 & up

If you are interested in a one hour, private lesson call the Registration Office at (916) 933-6624 (press 0), M-F, 8am-5pm to schedule a date and time.  Bring the following equipment to your skate lesson: skate board, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and water. 

By appointment only.  $29/hr

Group Lessons     ages 6 -10

These group lessons target beginners by teaching the fundamentals of safe skateboarding.  From foot placement and how to fall, to dropping in on the half pipe and air tricks, skaters will receive a wide variety of quality instruction.  Bring the following equipment to your skate lesson: skate board, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and water.  Please note class minimum must be met for lessons to run.

Summer Skate Camp     ages 7-12

Ready, Get Set, SKATE! Daily skate lessons, build your own deck, and daily trips to the pool to cool off.  All participants must supply their own equipment.  There will be a field trip to the Folsom Skate Park included on Friday, 7/12.  Bring the following equipment to your skate lesson: skate board, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and water.  Please note class minimum must be met for lessons to run.

Monday-Friday, 7/8-7/12, 9am-4pm, $195
