Youth Sports Philosophy
The growth of Youth Sports in El Dorado Hills has been tremendous over the past few years. At this recreation level our philosophy is to keep the winning aspect secondary to learning the sport, teaching good sportsmanship, building self-confidence and enjoying it enough to return for more. If our kids keep coming back, we’ve succeeded. This starts with our Pee Wee Sports Programs and progresses up to our team sports programs. StarBabies
Ages 12 - 24 months (must be walking) In this parent participation class, children will increase motor skills through the use of an obstacle course, trampoline, and age appropriate games as well as develop their communication skills. This is a great opportunity to have some one-on-one activity time with your little one as well as help them increase their
social skills with children their age.

Ages 3 - 5
Non-parent participation class that allows children to further expand their gymnastics, listening, and learning skills. Children use obstacle courses, age appropriate cooperative games and more challenging apparatus to broaden their gymnastics skills.

Beginning Gymnastics – Boys
Ages 5 - 10
A great entry level class for boys who are starting to show an interest in gymnastics. Not only will children have fun, but they will learn skills on the high bar, rings, pommel horse, parallel bars, vault and floor. These skills gained from this class include balance, coordination, confidence
and strength.

Beginning Tumbling – Coed
Ages 6 - 12
A fun beginning for children that are showing interest in tumbling. Basic tumbling skills are taught. Students will learn how to complete each skill properly, with the correct form and technique.

If you have ever wanted to give archery a try, here’s your chance! The El Dorado Hills Bowmen’s Archery Club is offering classes that focus on skills such as shooting basics, bow maintenance, and safety. Helpful as a refresher class for those who have not shot in years. Necessary equipment will be provided.

Sports-A-Riffic
Boys & Girls, Ages 6 - 12
Expand your child’s sport knowledge from traditional sports to up and coming games while helping improve athletic ability and hand-eye coordination. Games such as dodgeball, shuffleboard, croquet, indoor
hockey, ultimate Frisbee, horseshoes, ring toss, miniature golf and others will be played on a rotating basis throughout this camp. Children learn teamwork and individual accomplishment while playing these lesser-known, yet fun sports. Register by the deadline to receive a free camp t-shirt.

Boys & Girls, Grades K - 6
This recreational league focuses on instruction, skill building fundamentals and teamwork. Practices will be held weeknights
beginning the week of Dec 1st and games are played on Saturdays from Jan.10th thru Feb 28th. Teams play an 8 game season. Games and practices are held at the CSD, Brooks, or local El Dorado Hills School Gym. This program includes one practice during the week and one Saturday game. Each young athlete will receive a uniform and
participation trophy. Players will be placed on teams, and managed by volunteer coaches. Coaches are needed so if you’re interested in coaching, please notify office during registration. Note: Basketballs are not provided for each child, fee reflects this change.
