PUMPKIN SLASH PATCH
Saturday, October 27th • $10 • Ages 3-10
Begin your quest for the perfect Halloween pumpkin at the Pumpkin Splash Patch at the CSD Community Pool. Children 3 to 10 years of age should come wearing their swimsuits for this holiday hunt. Participants will hunt for their perfect pumpkin in the heated pool, decorate it and take it home. In addition, there will be other holiday crafts to create and costume characters will be entertaining children and taking photos with them. Price includes a pumpkin, supplies, swim pass for the day and a special Trick-or-Treat goodie bag.
Pre-registration is required.

Early Morning Lap Swim

Ages 16+
Fall Schedule & Online Registration for Monthly Pass
A great full body workout! Create your own or follow the posted workout. Pull buoys and kickboards are available for use. Must have a minimum of 10 participants or the program will be cancelled. Ages 16 & up. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 5:30-7am. $5 per drop in or pay monthly $40 per month. 

TAZ Swim Stroke Clinic

Ages 6-18 
September 9-November 4
Fall Class Schedule & Online Registration 
The EDH TAZ Swim Team is hosting a 9 week Swim Stroke Clinic and Endurance Clinic instructed by TAZ Coaches. Take advantage of this great opportunity to work on your strokes and stay in shape during the off season. All clinic participants will receive a unique TAZ momento. Clinic participants will be coached on each stroke (Back & Free Style, Butterfly, and Breast Stroke). Dedicating three sessions on fine-tuning that stroke, with flips and turns at the end of each stroke. Video instruction and analysis will be used for instruction. Participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards to participate in this clinic. Coaches: Rommy Zapp & Staff

Water Polo Clinic

Ages 8 - 12

Water Polo is the new sport in El Dorado Hills! Start learning the game in this co-ed clinic that focuses on the fundamentals of water polo. No class 9/2. Instructor: Patrick Foster, ORHS Varsity Water Polo Coach

Helpful Hints for Swim Lessons:

    Please make sure you select the appropriate level below for your child. Call 933-6624 for assistance.

  It is recommended that children repeat the last level they completed the previous summer. Most children remain in the same level for two or more sessions.

  Please make sure your child has a swim suit, towel and plenty of sun block! Children in diapers are required to wear a swim diaper (available for purchase at the pool)

  Goggles and swim caps can be worn.

These one-week swim lessons are your last chance to get quality instruction before the season comes to an end so don’t miss out! Lessons are held during recreation swim at 3:30 or 4:05.

Group Swimming Lessons

2 Week Session Lessons Will be Available Again in June 2019
All Ages Swimming lessons are available for swimmers of all ages. Classes are two weeks, Monday through Thursday, and are 30 minutes long. Any questions or concerns about which class to enroll in please call 933-6624.

Private Swimming Lessons

1 Week Sessions Will be Available Again in June 2019
Ages 3 & up Class is ideal for students who want or require one on one instruction, or are not comfortable in a group setting. Staff will tailor instruction to the specific needs of the student. Private lessons are one week, Mon-Thur, and are 30 minutes long.


Swim Lesson Levels


Starfish (Parent-Toddler) Ages 9 months  - 36 months
Parents and their child work firsthand with a Swim Instructor to teach their children how to experience buoyancy, movement, entries, and games to play in the water. Only one child per parent.
Turtles (Tiny Tots) Ages 3 - 5
Your child will learn to "swim like a fish" through an activity-oriented, child-centered approach coupled with unique skill progressions for the following: First-Time Submersion, Breath Control, Breath Holding, Front Kicking, Back Kicking, In-Line Kicking, Paddle Stroke, and Underwater Swimming using a "Pop-up Breath" or "Roll-over Breath".
Penguins (Pre-Beginners) Ages 6 & older (non-swimmers)
A drill-oriented approach with unique skill progressions for the following: First-Time Submersion, Breath Control, Breath Holding, Front Kicking, Back Kicking, In-Line Kicking, Paddle Stroke, and Freestyle with their face in the water.
Gold Fish (Beginners) Ages 4 & Up
 A drill-oriented approach with unique skill progressions for the following: Breath Control, Kicking with the kickboard, Back Kicking, Streamline Kicking, Backstroke, and Freestyle with the Side Breathing. To enroll, your child should be able to comfortably swim 15 feet without the aid of a floatation device, with their face in the water, and breathing as needed.
Stingrays (Advanced Beginners) Ages 5 & up
A drill-oriented approach with unique skill progressions for the following: Breath Control, Kicking with the kickboard, Back Kicking, Streamline Kicking, Backstroke, and Freestyle with the Side Breathing. To enroll, your child should be able to comfortably swim 20 feet without the aid of a floatation device, with their face in the water, and breathing as needed.
Sharks (Intermediate) Ages 6 & up
A drill-oriented approach with unique skill progressions that focus on skill mastery of the Breaststroke and Butterfly. Limited refinement practice for Front Crawl and Backstroke. To enroll, your child must be able to swim 25 yards of Backstroke and Freestyle with side breathing.
Dolphins (Advanced) Ages 7 & up
This class is for those swimmers that have mastered all four strokes and are interested in moving on to swim team, water polo or lifeguarding classes. Swimmers will learn Sidestroke, Elementary Backstroke, and Treading. Upon mastering these courses, your swimmer's possibilities in aquatics are endless.

“Seize the Day” and leave your worries and fears behind you! This small group class is the easiest way for anyone to try kayaking. Our stable kayaks and experienced instructors will show you how simple, safe and fun kayaking really is. Did you know that kids and women usually pick it up the quickest? Bring a friend and make a great day of it exploring the Lake’s hidden spots and learning the basics of how to be under your own power on the water. 

Sunset/Full Moon Paddles

Glide across the water of Lake Natoma beneath the fascinating light and shadows of the setting sun and rising moon. Except for the sounds of animals and birds settling down at twilight, you’ll have the stillness of the lake to yourself. Introductory skills session and equipment provided.
