The El Dorado Hills Community Services District offers a variety of adult classes year round. Country Line Dancing
$44/4 classes Tuesday evenings

Here's your chance to learn the basics of line dancing for the New Year!  In this workshop we will slow the pace down and concentrate more on individual steps, weight shifting, four step turns and short patterns.  If you've never taken line dancing or just want to brush up on your steps this class is for you!

Adult tap is a fun class where combinations are put to a variety of music styles, showcasing tradtitional Broadway Tap and the latest Tap jam and Stomp techniques perfect for beginners and those returning to dance!

Ballroom, Swing & Salsa Dancing

Commonly known as "mediation in motion", Guang Ping Tai Chi is a gentle form of slow exercise movements for health and relaxation. Evening Tai Chi

Hatha Yoga Stretch/Deep Relaxation
Ages 18 & Up  • $40/4 classes or $70/8classes
Mondays  •  9:30-11am
Sessions include 1.5 hours of continuous flow level-one yoga postures, deep stretching, balance and a variety of yoga breathing techniques. Class concludes with 5-10 minutes of deep relaxation. This program contains no inverted postures. Knowledge of Yoga and a good physical condition is very helpful. Yoga Blocks and a Strap are provided; please bring a mat and towel. Yoga for Healthy Living (YHL)

Ultimate Chocolate Truffles
Ages 12 & Up  • $40/1 class
Saturday, 9/22 • 10am-12:15pm 
Make elegant, dome-shaped truffles with a variety of luscious fillings including: white, milk and dark chocolate. Learn how to flavor basic ganaches (fillings) liqueurs and oils. Make and take a dozen truffles in a gift box, plus receive recipes, notes, tips, and truffle molds. Supply fee of $15 payable to Instructor. Instructor: Karen Moore

A Theater Program for Adults with Special Needs!
Join us in exploring the wonderful world of theater.  This program has been developed to assist those with special needs in learning how to focus, speech, reading skills, following directions, using their voice along with being physically creative with their movements, stage presence.  They learn to work with others in a group setting and gain an incredible confidence in themselves.  In the long run you will see a transformation of your child at home and in the community.

Instructor Jonathan Reis, is a professional actor and Therapeutic Recreation Specialist that has been working with the speical needs population for over 10 years.  He started this theatre program for adults with special needs up in Washington, with great success.  There the group put on musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan and Mary Poppins.  He is anxious to bring this wonderful program to our community.  This fall we will be working on a Holiday performance and possibly on Disney piece with the performance in early December.  Instructors will assess kids if needed.  No class: 10/23, 11/13, 11/20

American River Conservancy
Beavers in your Backyard
November 7 at 6-8pm  All ages welcome
Learn about the life history, behavior and ecology of the North American Beaver, Castor canadensis.  Kate Lundquist and Brock Dolman of the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center's WATER institute will also share their knowledge and experience working with communities to manage beavers in both wildland and urban settings.  Learn about  what is going on in the El Dorado Hills community from Elena Delacy of the American River Conservancy who will provide some insight into non-lethal beaver management strategies at work in your neighborhood.

If you already play chess, join us and be part of our new Chess Club which will meet bi-monthly. We will exchange playing ideas, recreate famous games and compete with other participants. All ages are welcome and invited to join. Sorry, this is not for brand new beginners, as no lessons will be offered. Bring your own chess board. The Treatise Memoir Group

Pediatric CPR & First Aid
 Mon & Tues 5:30-9:30 or Saturday, 8 - 5pm 
Fee: $75
Infant, Child & Adult CPR and First aid. This class is EMSA approved for daycare/preschool providers. We are required to affix their approved stickers to your card at a cost of $6, payable at class. $15 Materials fee paid in class. Cash only.
