How do I sign up for community service work?

Do you need Community Service credit? You’ve come to the right place. We welcome the chance to work with residents and youth in contributing to their neighborhoods and community.

Please complete the Application to Perform Community Service Work and return to the District. Once Staff has had the opportunity to review the application and determine when you are available, we will contact you to arrange a time to start.

Parks Community Service
The District offers young adults the opportunity to learn in the field with Parks Staff or assist with duties around the buildings by working with our Facilities Staff.

Administrative Community Service
Occasionally the District needs assistance with special administration projects.

How do I volunteer?

Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer your time? You’ve come to the right place. We value the opportunity to work with Youth and assist them in learning a new skill.

The District offers residents the opportunity to partner with staff and tackle small or large projects together. We welcome the chance to work with residents and youth in contributing to their neighborhoods.

Parks Community Service
The District offers on-going opportunities in various locations to groups interested in park or trail clean-up, tree planting or light maintenance projects such as painting.

Administrative Community Service
Occasionally the District needs assistance with special administration projects.

How Do I Reserve A Park?

Currently, the District only reserves Bertelsen Park, located at 831 Redwood Lane, El Dorado Hills. The Park & Field Use Application is required to reserve a park or field. All fees are due at the time the application is submitted. The District reserves up to 12 months in advance. If you are not sure if the park or field is available, please contact our office at (916) 933-6624. After the District has received the application and fees, it takes 24 hours for final approval of a rental request.

Application Fees are determined by the location, resident or non-resident and length of rental.
