If you can figure out the melody to
“Mary Had a Little Lamb” you’re ready to
play piano by ear. The secret to playing
music by ear is knowing what chords
go along with it. You will learn how to
use bass lines, how to hear and know
the correct chord changes, how to
transpose, and how to use the Circle of
Fourths and Fifths. Forget about your
sheet music. You’ll be memorizing tunes
as you learn them.
This workshop is open to all musicians.
You should have a basic knowledge of
chords. If you don’t, take the “Piano
Your Teachers Never Taught You“ class
first. Materials fee of $27 per student for
study book and CD will be collected in
class by instructor.
